Calypso: in The Odyssey

One beautiful afternoon on my island a man and his crew's ship had wrecked. As their leader/captain approached me, I became speechless. As he introduces himself I start to gaze into his beautiful eyes. His name is Odysseus and him and his crew where on there way home to Itheca when there ship had wrecked on this island, but as he is saying this I seem to become in daze. I decide among myself that I will not let him leave me. He's handsome, kind and seems like such a brave warrior and man. I'm really not going to let him out if my site, he is mine. As the sun rises and sets I become more and more in love with this man. I really think he's interested in me to. As even more days pass he seems to become comfortable around me and I feel as if I will not be on this island alone anymore. Odysseus is sweet kind and knows exactly how to love me.

Months are passing and Odysseus is loosing his love for me. He's starting to bug me about returning on his journey. Sooner or later he starts to aggravate me but my love still goes on and on. Then one rainy day Athena asks if I would let Odysseus return onto his journey. I refuse because I believe Athena wants him all to herself. I tell Athena and she tells me I'm ridiculous. I think she was angry with me because sooner or later Zeus forces me to let Odysseus free. As much as it hurts to see him go, I help him with his ship and send him off.I still cannot believe Athena, Odysseus seemed so happy with me. Why would he want to go? Now that he is gone though I am back to being alone on my deserted island. As much as I hate seeing him go, I will always love him.
